THE 2nd Leeds Fair Trade Fayre will take place at Chapel Allerton Primary School, Leeds on Saturday 29th November 2008. Featuring a diverse collection of food, drinks, books, music & crafts, autonomous artisan products & politically active commodities. Small scale - human scale business for fair trade & ethical trade ideals. The world's first Fairtrade Santa Claus will be in attendance again this year with small gifts to give to kids. MUSIC, entertainment, kids activity, a raffle, refreshments with a place to sit & chat away from the commercial hubbub will be provided too. Car parking & access are excellent. ENTRY to the Fayre is free. SOME space for traders & for campaigning groups remains available. We expect to link up with local groups in the lively Chapel Allerton community to promote & discuss fair trade. We will work to ensure a good diversity of goods. Traders will be affiliated with BAFTS, IFAT or be able to support their connection with fair trade or ethical trade in other ways. Last year's event in Headingley was most successful! Thanks to all our supporters, helpers, Leeds City Council & the advertising sponsors for assisting us to make it happen. We hope you can get involved this year and in the future as we work to build up a big event for fair trade & ethical trade in the city of Leeds. Some pictures from last year - click on the thumbnail
